This wonderful Gothic chapel was originally built to house the 'true' crown of thorns. The chapel cost only 1/3 the amount that the king (St. Louis) paid for the crown.

This was the courtyard outside of St. Chapelle.
Inside the Sant Chapelle. Impressive stained glass.

This was where the Kings of France would worship. No, I'm not implying anything.

This area was where the common people worshiped. So of course this is where they put the gift shop.
Nope...not implying anything here either...
It is interesting how solid it looks from the outside; wheras the inside has such an airy feeling.
